Broad Ripple Destinations Near 7 Pointe

The community at 7 Pointe Apartments on Allisonville Road provides plenty of reasons to make it your new home. Newly renovated apartments, a spa-like pool complete with a poolside lounge, and a commercial-quality fitness center are just some of the perks we offer here.

Our location is another big plus. We’re close to Broad Ripple, which is one of the most exciting areas in Indianapolis. While known for its restaurants and nightlife, Broad Ripple also has a lot to offer people who love to try new activities and enjoy the outdoors.

Broad Ripple Park Boat Launch

Looking for a different way to see the city? Launch a canoe or kayak from the Broad Ripple Park boat launch and paddle south on the White River through some gorgeous scenery. If you don’t have your own boat, you can rent one at Broad Ripple’s Rusted Moon Outfitters.

Make sure you check the water level before you go kayaking or canoeing, as the river can be dangerous during flood stage and hard to navigate when the water is low. If conditions aren’t ideal for paddling, check out Broad Ripple Park’s tennis courts or fitness path.

Indianapolis Art Center

Situated on a 9.5-acre plot on the banks of the White River on east 67th Street, the Indianapolis Art Center has been serving and highlighting the city’s arts community since 1934. The grounds are open to visitors.

The center usually offers numerous classes throughout the year, although it switched to online-only classes in the spring, with plans to return to onsite classes later in 2020. The popular Broad Ripple Art Fair, held on the center’s grounds, was canceled in 2020 but is set to return in the spring of 2021.

Central Canal Towpath

The Monon Trail winds through Broad Ripple, and when the weather is agreeable, it can become quite congested. A less-traveled alternative is the Central Canal Towpath, which starts in Broad Ripple and ends just north of 30th Street. This trail is mostly crushed stone, with a few short sections that are paved.

7 Pointe: Close to it All
